The Bossy bees are excited to have you with us as we kick off the new year with our new podcast. If we haven’t met, our first episode will get us better acquainted with each other as we go back in time to revisit memories for the first days, weeks, and months this friendship and partnership collided.
Meet the “cosmic magical tornado”
Kim and Stacy sit down in a candid conversation over coffee to reflect on the ebb and flow of friendship and how it has created a unique working relationship over the years. Reminiscing over the early days of a honeymoon-like friendship also surfaces some feelings of pain and suffering as life events and interesting situations arise.
Encouraged by the hopeful spirit of 2021, Kim and Stacy share some of the secrets that have allowed their relationship to grow and change to accommodate each passing year. Some of our insights from our conversation:
- Take time with intention to understand what makes your relationship unique and special. Acknowledge the good along with the bad and decide if the returns for both parties are worth the emotional, physical, and time investment.
- Honesty is key to a healthy relationship, which sometimes means having hard conversations. Find the “turf” to have these conversations. When you’re in the right space, time, and place, where everyone feels safe and equal, it removes that uncomfortable cloud of confrontation.
- We are all capable of making something out of nothing. Brainstorming and collaboration is about giving yourself permission to make something you love. Even if it’s not something you’re good at.
The Bossy Bees are still growing and learning how to embrace their own unique voices. It’s a much easier process and journey when you have a true friend that knows when and how to challenge our egos.
Well, it’s great to meet you! The Bossy Bees is a weekly podcast where we open up to discuss a range of topics that make us laugh, cry, and seriously ponder.
